The course consists of 34 lessons and 20 class hours.
Drawing techniques and tricks that will help you depict anything as accurately as possible. You will master drawing step by step – from sketches and outlines to details and shadows. Learn and develop your own drawing style.
From 20 drawings in pencil – the result of each student of the course. Unique methodology: the skills you learn in the course can be used in more complex works.
COURSE PROGRAM
SECTION 1. INTRODUCTION TO PENCILS
In the first module, we learn how to sharpen pencils, explore their softness and options for applying shading. We practice making a tonal stretch.
SECTION 2. SIMPLE FIGURES: CUBE, CYLINDER, SPHERE
The second module is devoted to studying linear perspective with 1 and 2 vanishing points, analyzing the tonal scheme, building ellipses, a cube, and a cylinder in space, and practicing rendering the tone of an object.
SECTION 3. ARRANGING A DRAWING ON A SHEET
In module three, we’ll learn how to arrange different objects on a sheet of paper. We will learn how to harmoniously arrange them on the sheet and create preliminary sketches of the composition.
SECTION 4. DRAPING
The fourth module is dedicated to studying the types of folds and their tonal development.
SECTION 5. DRAWING FEATHERS
Module five is devoted to the study of different textures and the use of different strokes and softnesses of pencils for maximum natural effect.
CHAPTER 6. PINEAPPLE AND COCKTAIL
The most appetizing module of the course, where we will depict the texture of glass for an aperol glass and draw a pineapple.
CHAPTER 7. BOTANICAL ILLUSTRATION
In the seventh module, we will illustrate a rosehip flower, leaves, and berry. We will work with the technique of layered drawing.
MODULE 8. LANDSCAPE, STILL LIFE AND ARCHITECTURAL SKETCHING
Module number 8 is dedicated to the classics of pencil drawing – landscape, still life and architectural sketches.
MODULE 9. DEPICTING A PERSON
The ninth module is devoted to the image of a person: we will analyze the figure in 3 positions, the lips also from 3 angles, the eyes and the construction of the skull.
MODULE 10. DEPICTING ANIMALS
Module ten is dedicated to animal sketching. We will make a portrait of a Doberman and a cat and improve our shading technique.
